Wedge Testing - 56 Degree Sand Wedge Test 2007-2008
As CEO of Rankmark I have been asked on many occasions "What is your company's mission?" Well I have decided to answer those questions here and now - in print, if you will.
First of all, there can be no doubt that we patterned ourselves after the two best companies of the kind - Consumer's Report and the Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval.
In Golf, we presently compare golf equipment- rate and rank them by virtue of both objective and subjective reasoning by a couple of hundred "average golfers". The golfers who are divided in handicap groups such as 0-9, 10-20, and 21-above get to try all of the equipment and then vote. I get to tally the votes and report the results to Rankmark website (www.rankmark.com) over the last 10 years millions and millions of golfers have come to that website to find out which we like best giving them an assist toward their next purchase.
Don't get me wrong, I have instructed all those that work for Rankmark to do everything they can to help the manufacturer that participate in our tests. Everything that is, except alter the results of our tests. Speaking of our tests here are the results of our latest test of "Wedges".

Test performed by Golf Professional Dave Budney and Dave Pedersen – PGA
This test consisted of 27 wedges - feed back for each club was feel, accuracy, rough, and sand shots.
After the first 25 golfers where tested (0-9 handicap 10-19 handicap 20- above) the field was reduced to 9 of the best in each - The Taylor Made Rac was in the top 10 but did not receive any votes in the final match play.
The CG 14 received 36 1st place votes; it should be noted that of the 50+ players the F2 received the most votes in difficult lies but not with feel or sand. And when all was said and done Cleveland's new CG14 blew away the field.
This wedge test was preformed in Florida at the Tarpon Springs Driving Range, Magnolia Valley Golf course, River Ridge Golf course, and Cypress Run.
